Hey guys i have a friend that is looking for a good reliable car to use for school. He doesn't have the kind of $$$ to be fixing a car, so he needs something reliable. he's not looking to modify or do anything special. I've heard that the Honda Civic Ex is a reliable vehicle. What do you guys think of this car? Please offer more suggestions
The civic ex is pretty reliable but can be a little more pricey. If he just needs a car I suggest an LX. It comes with the options of an ex (pw, pdl, cruise) but doesn't have the V-tec in it. It can be had a lot cheaper. Or you can pick up the DX for dirt cheap if you can find it with no options.
What about a cav? You can pick those up pretty cheap to. Pretty reliable and cheap to fix.
of course i was going to reccomend a cavalier but i wanted to give him more suggestions
How about a camry. That thing will last forever
I would say older, accord, civic, camry, or Integra.
i say an old celica, camry, corolla or some other toyota, dont go honda because everyone i know with an older one has tons of problems with it, i dont get why people think there so reliable.....two of my friends bought cars, one a 88 cavalier and the other a 93 civic and the kid with the civic has dumped about a grand more into fixing the pos then the older cavalier..... but on the other hand my aunt and uncle have two old toyotas that have well over 150,000 on em and they run good
how about an older saturn? like a 96ish s series....if you take care of those cars that 1.9L will run forever
As the others said celica, camry, corolla, civic. You can also pic up some older model jeeps. for a good price. there are many guys on jeepforums that have over 200k miles and only replaced minor stuff like the water pump.
YEAH I WENT PREMIUM. SO BITE ME!
