A friend of mine had the same setup as you... stock 5.0 engine with a big ass shot that he hit right off the line.... He also was running somewhere in the 12's...I kept warning him about spraying on the stock engine, but his comeback was that the pistons came forged from the factory...
KABOOM!

Untouchable hardly? Around my part of town I know of several 10-11second Street driven Stangs (several of which can duplicate that on the street if need be :O ). so 12's with stock anything is nothing. Not bad given, but untouchable no.

I think your almost there. its a GT so its got some more wieght then the LX how was your 60 foot time. what gear do you have? I think you would better off taking some wieght off the car and using a smaller shot.i really think you should have a plan just in case the worst happens. you could try these people www.golensengineservice.com and have short block with some better rods and may be add some studs to the mix i guess what im saying is put your horse on a diet. and if i where you, have spare short or long block also www.coasthigh.com.
i have a friend with trans am with a built 454 bored to 468 with a roller motor and a supercharger, like 800 hp and 900ft lbs turbo 350 with a 4400 stall, hed smoke you like a cheap cigar.
and he was thinking of running a 200 shot.

I know a couple of Cummins Rams that will give you a run, and they still aren't anywhere near their potential.
