Well I was reading vid gods thread about him wanting a wrangler. I didn't want to jack his thread so I started my own. Me and the wife have been thinking about trading in our 2000 Explorer for either a Jeep Liberty or a Nissan Exterra.
How are the Jeep Liberty's? Do they hold up well? How are they on power for everyday driving? Anyone have an idea? I'm not real big into 4 wheelin and everything. Its mainly used like a minivan. I just dont want a mini van haha. When I go home there is snow so I want it to handle decent. But no serious muddin will be done.
my friend has one, he likes it alot.
3.7L v6 210 hp or something like that probably can get up and go.

Get the CRD Liberty 40mpg highway is hard to beat, and from what I understand they move decently for an SUV. Offroad I'd never consider any of your choices but at least you're honest and admit what ya use it for, You can get a 6spd tranny w/ the new liberties too.

We have 2 at work and I don't really like them. No room at all up front and not comfortable.
Skip says I have Frotteurism... I say I just thrust my hips at strangers.
Fudd, I would love a 6-speed but my wife will drive it more than me. So its automatic. Plus i'd never buy a manual family vehicle. Thanks for the good info. yea 40mpg is awesome. I heard they do move pretty decent. They aren't huge so 210hp should be great. I'm just starting to have little problems with the Explorer and I foresee it being a real pain. Right now I can pretty much break even if I trade it in. So i'm kinda starting to plan ahead.
Sizzy, hmm I guess i'll just have to test drive one and figure that part out myself. Bring my wife, the diaper bag, my daughter in her car sear, and the stroller and throw it all in and see how we do, lol.
I found a pre-owned Jeep Liberty w/ 15k miles on it for 17k. Still under warranty so the price is right. I just wanted to see if anyone had any problems with them either. Sounds like mechanically no one says anything bad about them.

Hmm, i'll have to check into that. Were still unsure about what we want. Were going to look into the Liberty, Xterra, and the saturn Vue
