Well my brother lost contol of his new camaro and spun out over some water. Cracked up his rim. Now there is a squeaking noise coming from where it hit. Im guessing it is a bend rotor, cuz i changed to the spare and it still squeaks. Squeaks lounder when brakes are applied. , i havent had the chance to take it off to look at it, but i think thats may be it. He esitmates that he hit the curb at around 20 mph, so i dont think there is any damage to the rear axle. Visably, there is no aparent damage. What do you guys think?
Check Out My Domain Page!!!
I messed up my hub assembly when I nailed a curb at about 10 mph in my Cavy a couple years back. That was more of a humming / vibrating noise than a squeak, though. Yeah I guess check the rotor.

check the wheel bearing too and look for damage to the spindle(doubtful though)
Yeah i tagged a curb at like 20 when it was raining in my 97 cavy. Replaced the hub, control arm, and lots of other stuff. Ended up costing me 700, and then afterwards it still chirped like a bird. So i figured bearing, but when i went to have my rearbrakes done, i payed to have the front cleaned. That fixed it, i know it sounds dumb, just geting the brakes cleaned, but the chirping started the moment after i hit the curb.
Sounds like the bearing to me too. Same thing happened on one of my other vehicles and had to replace the entire subframe because the bearing was built into it. Eh, it was under warranty. $0.00!
if he hit it flush, there could be a lot more damage than you think
but it may be just the rotor and/or bearing
well i was goin to say wheel bearing, and ask whether it was front or rear wheel, but u found it out.
guess im useless.
