I am asking on behalf of a friend.
Does anyone know on performance chips or OBD-2 recalibration for the Audi A4 with the 1.8L I-4 Turbo 2003 and up.
He wants to get one of those things, and wants to know if there is a good reputable company and if it will void the warranty?
What do you guys recommend?

if it is then i would be interested as well. i am sure however that my dealer would void my warranty for it.

European Car did a group test on some Audi chips a while ago. I am sure some of them would void the warranty since the turbo was glowing after testing. Respectable gains from all the of them, if I remember correctly.

I know a lot of volvo people who got a recalibration through them and they love it. Hope it helps.
Try Neuspeed. It will probably void the warranty, but usually there is a second program that can be used when the car is taken into the dealer.

goddamn! that is 34 horses with one chip!!! its $500, that is a pretty good price for that many horses...
i might consider one of these in 2 years when my warranty runs out...
FYI, the turbo will glow stock. Mine did all the time when I pushed it hard.

Look up Dub Works or Bed Werks how ever they spell it, they can point you the right direction. As for the warranty issue thats a tough one, it all depends on where you go... the last dealership I worked for we were warrantyig clutchs on GTI's with a turbo uprade, huge front mount, ect.. not just basic bolt ons. This dealership it seems like if your straight up front with us we'll help you out, but when someone comes in for a check engine light and doesn't tell us/lies to us abou having it chipped then @!#$ them, they pay diag ($105 an hour) and to get it fixed..... not to mention there is a way from inside the car you can check to see if its chiped, I forget the exact process but its somethign to do with seting the cruise control with the car off and cycling the key and blah blah and eventually one of the dash lights will flash a certain amount of times.... if someone claims to have no chip to check liek that, checking that way frys the chip if its in there. Long stroy short, it all depends on dealership.
^^I heard about the cruise control thing, but is that for any car that was chipped? Was that system from HKS?
Does this chip go on the computer box, or is programed on the OBD port? I heard you switch back and forth from stock to performance setting, is this true?

My friend has a Revo chip in his 1.8T.. I dont know their website right off hand though.
