I got tired of waiting for a black one to arrive, and the one I was looking at got delayed. They had just gotten this in today at my local dealer and I fell in love, so red it is. Also got a great deal on it, with GMS discount and rebates I got it for 19,700.

Here's some quick pics, time to go outside and take off some badges, and get rid of that RIDICULOUS wing! I' ll keep you all posted on the progress as it happens.

Beautiful!!! If I had the $$$, I think I would get a Cobalt SS. The interior is a HUGE upgrade to what the J's have.

Now I wanna see what kind of power can be made via tuning. Get that blower to whine.

The only thing I dont like about the coablts in general is the massive rear end, I was trying to back one up out of a paring spot and with the small quarter window and high rear end it was a pain in the butt, talk bout eliminating the whole shoulder checking manouver. It might just be me but whats your point of view on it RKSport2003?

Thanks again for the compliments and opinions. I'll try to answer the questions I remember off of the top of my head.

1) About the blind spot issue, I agree 100 percent and it is one of the only complaints I have thus far of the car. It's not EXTREMELY bad, but not how it should be put it that way.

2) No my car does not have the performance pack and limited slip. There was a reason for this. As many of you may know my dad is the head of GM accessories for the west coast (he's back in Cali now), and I love the red interior which was available. ( I had it ordered on the black one also). Im going to have my dad get me just the limited slip diff, for I plan on going with other front seats down the road. He will get that diff for next to nothing. The main concern for me was getting the boosted motor, as well as the aluminum a-arm suspension/ swaybars that the SS version provides.

3) I also wish this car was available in white, I loved the way my cav looked and most had to do with it's color. I've already seen the 06 color chart and sadly white is unavailable next year also.

4) The wing is going off, we're going to throw it on my buddy adams saturn redline.

5) Im new to the boost thing again, so I don't know which exact blower the ss uses off of the top of my head without researching, I do know however it is an Eaton "roots" style charger. Im guessing it's similar to the one used the the Cavalier "technic" although I may be wrong.

Again I plan on doing this car different than the cav. Other than the wing and a carbon heat extractor hood (when it becomes available), I want to focus more on the motor, computer, and chassis on this car. My cav was all show and no go, I'd like to at least lean the other way this time. Thanks again, I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.
