The guy bought an 2005 Mustang and 40 days later he had it ready.
First run pulled off a 10.87@133... at the end of the day his best run was 10.07@135

I used to think I hated them but then I realized I just hate the fox body because every dousche bag that drives one thinks it's the fastest thing on 4 wheels. 3rd gen Camaro owners are often the same way though.
So they don't suckass as bad as the last generation in regards to mod potential? (excluding 03+ cobra of course).

OHC V-8's, loads of aftermarket. Options for supercharged goodness, 600+rwhp on stock internals for Cobra's. New styling for 05, and nicer interiors...

lol what exactly is there to like lol. a car that needs a supercharger to break 300+hp. a car that needs such close ratio gearing in order to make it keep up with the compition, which gives it crappy gas mileage. give me an ls1 and add a few goodies to get it around 550whp on stock internals it will blow away the punie ponie. mustangs are crap, engines are crap, everything about mustangs, are crap. only good mustang was in the 60's and thats it.

Ford is not my cup of tea, never been a ford fan, never will be a ford fan, I care how nice and how much aftermarket there is I don't like Ford, they are as bad as VW IMO. and comaping anything to a cavalier isn't exactly a selling point to brag about, there has never been a ford a found visually apealing and the fact that the first mustang was a P.O.S. ford Falcon with a new body killed it for my with the mustang since day one, when your new sports car is a family car with a new shell you don't get respect from me. If you like ford/mustangs congratulations, I don't... deal with it

I hate that "Ford has to supercharge their car to get 300+ hp" arguement. The 03+ cobras are designed for boost. Low compression ratio, iron block, forged internals. They didn't take a N/A engine and slap on a S/C, they designed a engine that has guys hitting mid 9's -10's w/out cracking off the valvecover. Mod for mod, $$ for $$ they'll hand it to an LS1 anyday. There both a hell of an engine, its just hard to argue that one "sucks".

Wrong skippy. The 5.0 LX's from 1987-1991 was faster than the F-body heads up. In 1991 and 1992 it was about equal. Shall we go back to the 427, 428 and 429 cars? Shall we talk about the supercharged Shelby? Shall we talk of the 96-97 Cobra that was as fast or faster than the LT-1 in the right hands stock? The 99 and '01 Cobra was right there with the LS-1 as well as the Mach 1 with a 5spd. Learn something aobut them before opening your mouth and spewing nonsense.

LS-1 with it's hollow pushrods, glass internals and crappy 10 bolt. We have a club member with a twn turbo LS-1 putting 600 HP to the wheels, he is running a Ford 9 inch, Forged internals, an Incon twin turbo kit and a whole bunch of bolt ons and fuel system upgrades. Those "few goodies" cost quite a bit of money. And as far as your other statement goes, horsesh!t. I guess the 305 hp Cobra, the 320 hp Cobra, the 385 hp Cobra R, the 400 hp 5.0 modular available in Ford's catalog and the 300 hp GT do not count, right? There are new GT's with just a power tune putting 300 to the wheels. I have owned over 30 G.M. vehicles over the years including 3 F-bodies and I hate to see people so brand loyal that they look like idiots.
