That's not going to be the final price of it.... There was a dealership down here in Tampa Fl (well actually Plant City), that marked it up that high, but that was only because it was the only one in Florida at the time. The guy who bought it is on CobaltSS.net and he talked him down to somewhere around 25,000. Which is still a lot of money for that car, but it did have ever option, LSD, Recaro seats, sunroof, XM radio....

godamn 5k for a sunroof

I'd never buy from a dealer who tried to pull something like that! That's when you just know they're going to try and take you for every dollar they can. They marked the car up nearly 25% just because they weren't easy to get yet.

Sure, if it's a limited car that people won't be able to get their hands on, then there's reason for a "market adjustment". But if they're going to be all over the place in another month or two... that's just plain ripping off the customer!!

That is not $5k for a sunroof, that is $5k for "market adjustment", they just note that it is an SS with sunroof.

You're reading it wrong.. It says Martket Adjustment - $4,995. Then below that it says SS/Sunroof.. Saying it's a Cobalt SS with a Sunroof.. So you're basically paying $5k for a dealer markup.. That guy should be shot several times.

$ 4995.00 for a sunroof !?

...that money would be better spent on
a regular cobalt ss and several ladies
with loose morals .

lol

and this was probably talked about before, but I think there could have been a betterway to deal with the exhaust pipe with the rear lip like that, it looks like the lip was just broken to accomodate it. Though it seems difficult to really do anything about it.

If you thought it was crazy to buy an R32 for 30k. You gotta think 28k for that POS is absolutely insane.

In one year you would be lucky to get half what you paid. LOL Someone should call and offer to buy it for sticker and see what they say.

POS huh, you got to be kidding me, the Cobalt is comparable to any and every car in it's class in every catogery there is. I agree that the 30,000 dollar price point is not where the Cobalt should be, as does everyone else (as pointed out in this thread alone). But that's not the point, as was stated about the SRT-4 early in it's exsistents, it was marked up way over MSPR as well. Although the SS is not worth 30,000, that doesn't make it a POS, because it is well worth 20,000, which is what it will be priced out when the inventory catches up with the demand.
