YES I went to look at a srt4 over the weekend im VERY impressed and am seriously considering buyin it .

To me the interior is AMAZING , i love the seats. But with a turbo ( go fast
)and gas prices ( since it only takes premium ) it might be more of a hassle to afford. Overall there a really nice car and good luck if you get one ...

Answer for #1- I get decent gas mileage if I driver without boost. Every shift is at 2000rpms. But then again you may have some assclown that think srt-4's are slow and I guess you can hand them there a$$ once in a while. Being a goodboy I get 20-22 mpg
Answer for #2- I dont like that the back windows are not power windows. But besides that everything is good.
Answer for #3- Dodge likes to blame your mods for anything that goes wrong with the car. So, my advice is to go on Stages, for example stage 1, 2, 3.
A little of my 2 cents is as follows: If you buy an SRT-4 you can get a stage 2 from the dealer and have it financed in your monthy payments. IT'll only be like 5 dollars more on your payments. Just talk to the parts manager and he will help you out. Trust me stage 2 with toys installed out the dealer is no joke. I wish I knew that before I bought my srt-4.
Enjoy your srt-4, it is a blast as soon as you past 15psi. I know, I feel it everyday.

To me turbochargers are more hassel then they are worth. Also the SRT-4's transmission is really @!#$ty, there are 4 people local to me that have had their trannies go out. And 2 of them don't race

1. I get about only 19mpg but my car only has 6,000 miles on it and I hear that the more miles you put on these things the better the gas milage gets. I drive normal and usually stay out of boost.
2. The back windows not being power really sucks and the stock shifter sucks ass get the mopar short throw ASAP.
3.Some dealers are ass some are cool. I would stay with the stage kits.
Ive had no problems so far and I love it more and more every day. Def. get the stage 2 ordered, installed and added into your monthly payments you wont be disapointed. Fast as @!#$ out of the box.

buy a real car and get an F body... take out a nice camaro or ta with a ls1 for a test ride and then tell me what you think about the neon.. er i mean srt4
i didnt know that their mileage was that bad. And the interior is the same as the other neons just the seats guages and shift knob being different.

I've read a lot of reports on these engines and transmissions going out like wildfire. They look nifty and sound good, but mechnically are crap. Like I said, I just know what I read, i don't own one.
Really? because the transmission is said to be able to take all kinds of abuse,since it's a heavy duty tranny from one of Dodges' trucks.
Its like I said, I just know what I read on random report sites. I also know the SRT-4 was on the lemon list before for blowing engines.
If Dodge only had that car in when I car shoping in 2002. Love the power, styling, engineering and interior is ergonomic yet sporty. Better hurry if you wanna get one of these new as it is discontinued.

best bang for the buck as far as new cars go....
the trannys are awesome, my buddy just now threw out is stock clutch and axles (at the same time) because he was running 20 pounds ad a 125 shot, among mmany other mods, and his car still has a great tranny.
btw he ran a 11.9 on 13 pounds and 75 shot. stock turbo.

I've had mine a couple of months now and I love it! I'm getting around 21 MPG's around town, and close to 30 on the Hwy. he only things I don't like about the car are the lack of power windows in the back and the lack of one touch drivers window power window. I haven't had any problems yet that have required service. I'm not surprised that there have been some blown engines and trannys. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that beat the hell out of there cars. If you treat it right it will treat you right. You also see a lot of crashed cars for sale on Ebay.
