OLD corvette

ive looked and looked and now im asking for help....im trying to find an OLD corvette to fix up for my fiance's college graduation....anyone know the best place to look for a car like this? and im talkin bout 50s 60s vettes....she likes the small topless ones :p ...ive been checking ebay and such with no luck really....all i can find is refurbished ones...i need one that is in need of furbishment

thats a hard find buddy, all cars like that have been found and restored, either u gotta start with a rusted out POS or a restored car.

And event he ones needing total restorations are expensive. It's not like the early 90's where nice mid year drivers could be had for 12 grand.

Good luck but seriously don't get your hopes up. Classic vettes are hot these days and can be extremely expensive to buy even non running junk ones will probably run you $1,000 or more depending on the owner and restoring them can run into the 5 digit area fast. If anything I believe there are kit car companies making 50's and 60's replicas for use on todays vette chassis's or find a late 70's to late 80's Vette, they usually go for $10 -15k depending on condition.
