Need your opinions. My buddy has a 98 sc2 and today he called me saying his car wouldn't run. He drove it two hours back home, ran fine.

Parked it , sat for 4 hours. Came out, was reluctant to start. Got car started. Idled rough. Temp gauge was showing hot. He shut the car off, and the fan remained on.

Car was not running hot during the drive. Car will not start now, and if it does, it just sputters. He was roughly 2 quarts low on oil.

I'm a little confused on the fan running after sitting for 4 hours, but i'm thinking blown head gasket. also, no oil in the coolant, and does not smoke or have a knock.
