I loved it. Was a blast. It was only my second time and I came in last for my class. There was like 5 cars in my class and they had all been doing it for years. But it really pissed me off because i'm in a suppose "Street Stock" class. Well I was racing a Lexus IS 300 that was no where near stock. A prelude that had Intake, Slotted/Drilled rotors, and springs. Which only thing in stock class you can do is exhaust. And some other cars that were stock I think.
My next plans are rotors, strut stabalizer bar, struts/springs.
I auto-x here in Louisiana at Red River Raceway. Its a drag strip, but we use their parking lot cause its huge. SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) puts it on.

STS is Street Touring Stock. There are also Street Touring Extreme (STX) and Street Touring Unlimited (STU). These classes are geared twoards people who are going to put money into their cars though. I run in STS here in the Nebraska region.
Here is a link to the online rulebook you can look over to see what is allowed in the different classes. Generally if it is not specifically allowed then its illegal.
