Here are a few shots of what alot out there have called a "bloated Cavalier"...
Though it's got a bit more of a kick to it...

Yep - the hood and the grilles were part of a special package GM had for the '04s.

I like the grill you put on, looks much better then the stock one.
"bloated Cavalier..." naa a bloated Cavalier is the Cobalt or more like bulbous.
But it has the clean lines of one, not nessersarly a bad thing.
Nice car you got there indeed.

Very nice.. the AutoX grills look great on Silver.
BTW its kind of funny about the whole Cavalier thing... I think that other GTO owners are starting to say that to fellow GTO owners... I have had two come up to me and say nice Cavalier. .LOL .. I now know they are other GTO drivers. . .

LOL - I think it's more a "badge of honor" now - taking the insult and turning it around. Mind you - I got this after my Cav, so I wasn't insulted.
I also liked the comment one guy on LS1GTO.com had in his sig:
"If
'Gotta have it' means getting a slower car, then I don't want it..."
Oh, and yes, theL61 - it's a 6-speed.

hey you guys w/ the GTO' s
what kinda gas millage are you getting? like how much do you spend a week, id love to buy one, and i can probably afford a used one but id imagne im gonna be spending a ton for gas
I average about 20 miles per gallon driving kinda like an ass... With the majority of my driving being highway.
The window sticker says 29 highway, but I don't think that is believable.

Mine is not cheap to own.. even though I only financed $24,000 on it... I figure it costs me around $700 a month:
1. $475 car payment
2. $80 for insurance
3. Around $150-$200 on gas (depending on how much I drive)
Also you have to figure an oil change is 6 quarts, and it "recommends" Premium fuel.... I usually run mid grade (91 octane), because it WILL drink 87 octane like water..

I get around 21.4 miles per gallon driving to work and driving around. When I drove from Denver to Cincy I got around 26mpg.. I only had 4k on my car then so I think it will still break in a little more and get better gas mileage. I always put 91 or higher in the car.
when I go to the track I only get around 5mpg. but thats a different story... and im not talking about drag strip..

Averaging 19 here - with a 20-minute slog to work each way. Got to 24 while it was still green when going on a trip to NYC.
