I wonder what the general public thinks of those cars. If they think its cool or if they think its stupid like we think.
But one thing is for sure, if those cars were meant as attention getters, I'll bet every single one of you on here would look twice at that car if it passed you on the freeway. Definately get your attention.

They like to imitate the late 70s/early 80s Japanese Circuit cars of the era with the huge wings and elongated front airdam/lip. Just really for show, they don't drive those things on a daily basis. They do it mainly for nostalgic reasons, wierd as it may be to us.

i'm going to go out on a limb here, and say i think it has something to do with aerodynamics. i'm pretty sure most of those are FWD, so to put massive down force on those wheels for maximum traction they make those....shovels.
