Honda’s flagship NSX-R sports car gets a race car treatment and a price tag to match. Due to the considerable changes to this year’s Japan Grand Touring Championship GT-500 NSX race car, Honda had to build five homologation NSX-R GT road cars to satisfy rules set by the governing body
A cool ¥50 million ($466,600) is the price tag for this full carbon fiber-bodied road car, which features longer front and rear fascias and an F1-style scoop to direct air to the mid-mounted V6 engine. Production starts in August and, sorry, all five cars are already spoken for.

Looks good, before I thought it had been priced decently, now the GT model I say differently.
Stock for stock, my 2.2 will kick your 2.2s A$$!
ahhhh
$466,600
screw that
even what they cost before was rediculous but this is obsurd
It's the kind of car I'd be scared to own and drive. I would prolly cry after the first scratch or paint chip. But I guess if you got half a million to lay down for the car, you got money for the body shop
Does it go faster?
even for 466k its still a honda with a ugly ass roof scoop.

thats far superior to any pontiac that roled off the production line. and that ever will.

yeah for 4x+more than any pontiac cost
what the hell man? what does this have to do w/ pontiac? seriously
what he means is GM could only dream of such quality.
uhm quality?>
its a goddamn race car?
the vettes are faster the nsx's
sorry
It's amazing how fast an innocent tread can turn into a flamewar when you add a couple of immature GM haters. For that price that thing better haul like a Mclaren or Enzo.

werd
you could buy an ariel atom for $30000-40000 and go faster
You're an idiot if you pay nearly 500K for an NSX.
The Hp/Tq is nearly the same. Paying 500K for the unique intake? Think again, it is offered as an option on regular NSX's.

it looks cool except for that absurd "f1 style" air induction thing
my uncle has a 92 paxton supercharged nsx and it is better than anything gm has ever made period.
i dont think it was s/ced from the factory
so its better than anything honda has made either

try looking at borsty's remark and see why all of the sudden 'gm haters' are here. most of borsty's remarks are negative if it is anything to do with honda. sounds like a honda hater to me
there is a huge difference in the regular nsx vs the nsx-r plus in any case they aren't making this things a production car they made five b/c they had to meet jgtc regulations. its a one of a kind vehicle.
IF everyone just wanted a fast car we would all be driving econo @!#$ boxes(i.e. civics, cavaliers, elantras etc.) and not dreaming of ferrari's that we will own one day.
but hey you all will prob just label as a gm hater.

supercharge a fiero Gt and you get the same thing.....
better than anything gm's made?
How about a 4th gen(2000) ZL1 camaro? 770hp...suck it noob...
or...how about we throw an ati procharger on a new Z06? It'll be fun...you know....watching it kill that nsx through every turn and straightaway... =)
oh, does that 92 nsx come with a mower deck? they sound like they should...
You ppl have to properly conceptualize something...
THE POWER IS ALMOST THE SAME!!!
You are Paying THE EXTRA CASH for a Limited Ed. Car with almost NO BENEFITS. NONE. It is NOT 500, 400, or even 300hp... It is basically a REGULAR NSX-R (or whatever the highest model NSX is) but they slapped Limited Ed. on it.
Why the FU<K are you comparing this car to domestics or even other vehicles?! The comparisons should STRICTLY be between THIS car and a REGULAR NSX... and then you can properly judge if it is worth the price difference.
God Damn are you newbs stupid.

...so you're basically paying all that extra cash for a full carbon fiber body and the fact that it is limited...
Ok.
To me, that is incredible stupid... like I've stated.
To rich people who have 500K lying around... thats worth it.

^I hear ya 100%. Like when a Mercedes Benz representative told me upon me telling him it was rediculous to pay $450,000 for the SLR (Carbon Fiber body too). His answer to me was, "you have to pay a price for exclusivity."

im with jinxed on this one
NXS's are overpriced anyways
i could get 3 ford GT's for the same price as that one nsx
and have cash left over for a mustang cobra
JGTC anyone? ive read that they were supose to make a TT model so that they could TT the JGTC500 car.
One of the few, one of the proud, one of the Jersey J's. 6-14-04.

92 vette vs 92 nsx. the nsx will own it, its funny how you gotta campare a c-5 to a 13 year old car. compared to a base model vette of its day there's no contest.

yeah cause that was a production car
oui oui. La ville française de l'emballage. Cette voiture battra un NSX.
