its a little bit of everything... the kid I bought it off of ran it with the DV vented to atmosphere like a BOV, so it was running all sorts of F'd up with that... I reconnected it since, replaced the accordian hose, but a lot of the other vacuum lines are rotted and need to be replaced...
starter is goin bad... battery is bad, and maybe the alt too....
car needs an oil change, coolant flush, and its possible it has the dreaded BHG... so I bought an entire head gasket set for the engine so I'm going to tear into it on a fine day and replace alot of gaskets with some nice fresh ones and do the headbolt torque dance (new bolts of course, and to the new better torque spec)
the turbo is healthy, the tranny is... healthy for the most part I think... although it is difficult to shift into reverse sometimes so i think i just need some new tranny fluid... and hoping not a rebuild (reverse is for losers anyway)....
exhaust manifold gasket was leaking... valve covers were leaking oil... maybe you know what it is, but there's a mysterious hose under the turbo that has a plug on it that pees out coolant usually after coming down from boost... any idea what that is?
just a bunch of little things that I've been not doing... I haven't driven the car in a while, but when I did it was very strong... but I plan on finally breaking into it this weekend...

supras are not cheap to make fast. a good single turbo kit costs around 10 grand

You can buy a nice supra for what 20-30k.. Bone stock.
With around 30k you can be wellll over 1000 hp, close to 1200 actually. Tuned and running good for 50k.
Doesnt come close to the 75k price tag of that truck
or you can get an LS1 transam or camaro w/ tt and be well over 1200hp for 30k
