I've seen the sedans and regular coupes, but no SS.BTW i'm in halifax nova scotia.
Damn ripoff! I'd rather bust out a couple more grand and get a used Infinit G35.
Hell, you could get a new Nissan 350Z for that price
Or an SRT-4 with stage 2, Mopar coilovers, and an aftermarket bumper to make it not ugly
GM sucks, ( everything is overpriced for the quailty and name )
i see them everytime I take my fiance to work.
It's weird though all the SS's they have seem to be red with the gunmetal rims

esfstumpy wrote:If you do a search on the Chevy Website....you'll see that numerous Cobalt SS have been delieverd to dealers in PA. Most are Victory Red with Sunroof for around $23,810.00.
I got my 2005 Pontiac GTO for 25, 999.

My dad is a GM exec he ordered the car through his employee discount and Im paying him monthly payments.
I love the new cobalt ss's however, I think it's a great small car for GM and I believe it will get a great share of aftermarket support as well. The build quality is definitely there.
Wait until the winter. If they are not selling, the price will go down with discounts. The GTO was available here last January for $25,000 and O%.
Also a 10% mark-up on it -------------->
linky
remember it's not going to be able to be knocked down either...no rebates haggling nuthin'...just like the SRT-4...The price on the sticker is what you pay...bottom line

Mine works for GM also...the "GMS" discount looked to put the price around 30k for the 6-speed. I guess the execs get a better deal?

$26,000 is insane... I think they will have a hard time selling them to anyone but die-hard GM fans at the normal price!!
i was at kenny ross chevy today getting the oil changed in my cavalier. i was looking at the cobalt ss out front. it didn't look half bad. i looked at it for a while, considering i was there for an hour and a half and all they had to do was change the oil.
They are defintely overpriced. I'd rather buy the GTO for that price and a have the LS2 over the 2.0.

2001 Z28 Camaro: Kooks Longtube headers,
Magnoflow Catted Y pipe,
Loudmouth Exaust,Ultra Z Hood with Ram air kit,
SLP Air Lid with K&N filter,
SLP MAF & Bellows,17"Firehawk Wheels
Behlmann Pontiac in Saint Louis, MO. has new 2004 GTO's advertised for $21,500. Better deal than a CobaltSS/SC or a Mustang GT.
They dont even have 2 doors in Fort Myers FL area yet!
Just a bunch of 4 door autos.
How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.

LOL I also got a new GTO for cheaper than that... not an '05 like RK, but an '04.. ended up financing $24,000 with no employee discount.. that was just the rebate.
Rob
Sold 2/2/05
the coablts are gonna be going for aorund the same price as the redline are at now....the redline i test drove they had 17,500 in the window, not a bad price for that car

as far as seeing them here in de, no way dealership said not till may
they were selling 2005 gto's for 23,500 in milwaukee last week. i wanted to get one so bad but i already have 3 cars and a truck. no more money or room.
