I've never seen it and I know others haven't either, get a life and stop thinking you are cool because you've seen something others haven't.
I've had my brakes go out on me on my old 67 Camaro and that was scary as hell going only 35, this guy was going faster then that talk about fast thinking!
havent seen it but thats insane
kyle kyle is probably kyle kurtz
WOw, whats the best thing to do when something like that happens. I'm thinking pull the ebrake and try to turn the car a little sideways??
I had the brakes goe out on me driving a minivan back in the day.
Do not hit the e-brake and try to bring it alittle sideways, when you hit anything will the car sliding sideways it will roll, best thing is use the e-brake and aim for somethign soft like bushes, small fence ect.. somethign that will break away when you hit it to severly lessen the impact on the driver
Well I mean not completely turn it side ways, just kind of at a little angle to hit with the passenger corner.
that had to suck knowing that you where gonan crash, do thousands of damage and no insurance to cover you.
No not a little sideways. Not sideways at all. Hitting anything sideways gets people killed. Skidding a little sideways quickly becomes completely sideways followed by side impact or a roll. Let the trunk and the engine take the beating, not the driver and passenger.
Pull the e-brake but do not yank, do not lock the wheels.
Aim at something soft, as advised.
Crank the brake as hard as you can keeping the car completely straight. Your wheels are now bumpers. If you can threshold brake do it, but with most e-brake systems that will be next to impossible and it's not like you have time to practice. Skidding tires have more braking power than not enough brake, the only thing better is ABS (Except on gravel). so lock em up.
Try not to brace for impact, just cover your face if possble. Your big worry now is the airbag system and flying glass. Bracing can lead to broke bones. I know it sounds silly but try to remain relaxed, it will help if you can do it.
All of the above is said assuming that impact is unavoidable. The best way to survive is to not hit anything. This assumes you are attempting to survive an unavoidable collision and your normal braking sytem has failed.
Good luck
if u gotta hit something hard like a tree, hit it with a glancing blow, also. if possible.
whats the big deal about turning the car off thou?

What happened there? I had something similar happened when I boiled the brake fluid, Minus the crashing and viper part. Now I use SRF. Scary @!#$.
