Basically i bought a 2011 kia sportage ex fully loaded for my ex. We arent together anymore and i cant see myself driving it. So im selling it or trading it in. So far my list is
2012 Mazdaspeed 3 w/ 11k miles for $19k
2007 Cadillac CTS-V w/ 70k miles for $21k
2009 Cobalt SS/TC w/ 40k miles for $15k
Now these are just the dealer listed prices so there is probably a little wiggle room. The cobalt is a private seller so I'd have to sell my 2011 kia sport age myself instead of trade in.
I picked up my solstice gxp for 13k....
Its been a ton of fun and should help with the being single part...
all year, all around car, reliable, comfortable, all the luxury options, perfectly in your price range, and still a cool/rare/fun car.....
05-07 Volvo S60R. Hands down'. It's my next major vehicle purchase for these exact reasons!
AWD, 300hp, can be had in a 6 speed stick or 5 speed auto, all the comforts and options you'd want, active chassis adjustment, brembo's, Private part sale on the Kia will net more money than trade anyway. And a lot of dealers will stop haggling once you mention trade "we're already giving you x amount of dollars for your car, why would we come down on price any more?". Sell the Kia, buy an S60R. Or trade the Kia, but meh... A low mileage, mint condition 05-07(stay away from the ugly 04s lol), can be had for $13-18K depending on mileage and dealer gouging. If you want an auto, even better price wise. Sticks are more, but I saw a few 30-80K mile autos going for 11-15K

oh, trust us, we know
I would totally like a solstice gxp, but I have a kid so I need something with a rear seat.
I'm pretty biased because i love my 2011 speed3.....but i say go speed3 lol
Speed3. Out of those options.
They made TC cobalt sedans didn't they?
I recently picked up a 2010 Subaru WRX Limited for $21k. Has all the options I want, 260+ HP, AWD, leather interior. I've never looked back. Subaru's are fun
2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited
1999 Cavalier Z24 Supercharged
1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R

Is the torque steer as bad as they say it is on those?

This is an option too but around here they are going for more used than brand new! They want $26k for a 2010 with 30-40k miles.

yeah I almost bought one but it sold. They are really rare I think only 473 made... I'm really leaning caddy. All that power if that big v8. I just don't know about the reliability...
Reliable, power, your price, your needs, 4 doors for the kiddo's, etc.. I still don't get how you haven't asked more about a Volvo S60R

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like a nice car, just does not look very exciting to me. I'll keep it on my radar, but I def want a stick and the only one within 100 miles of me is a 2006 with 100k miles on it.
if the timing belt has been done, i don't see the issue with the mileage
Link to the one you found?(for me lol)

My only suggestion is buy something that you can utilize to do all the purposes you generally do.Keep in mind mpg and size, and with your price range you have alot of choices.I would have went civic si back in 11 but to expensive for my minded budget(yeah I could have) but wanted a lower cost and new car.I went LX-S civic and two years almost still glad I went that route granted it was brand new.Good luck on your decision

It is still there but no-where near as prevalent as pre2010. Boost is now computer controlled in 1st and 2nd gear to aid, unless you turn off ESC, then it's 17+ psi all the time (which is fun as hell).
Best option is just to go test drive each of these cars on the same day for best comparison. Out of your choices though, it seems as if you can't really go wrong with any of the cars.

hell even an 06-07 sti should be in that price range.
I'm with him. I'd be looking at a boosted subaru.
if i had to pick out of those options hands down i would go Caddy
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Test drove a 2009 wrx and 2005 gto. So far the GTO is the winner. The acceleration in that car is so amazing!
Traded in the kia for a 2012 mazdaspeed3 with 20k miles! Its fully loaded with the technology package! I'll upload pics tomorrow.
Wish I would have seen this sooner, I would have sold you my G8

Congrats! A fine choice of automobile haha. What colour? I went with pearl white.
I've only had the car since September and already I'm getting the itch to pickup a Cork Sport performance series stage 3 short ram intake. They dynoed a 30whp and 30wtrq increase over stock just from that alone, without a remap. Pair that with the Cobb access port tune and your at roughly 300 crank hp! Oh and join www.mazdaspeedforums.net
My bad, it's www.mazdaspeedforums.org.
