Looking to do a basic tune up on my dads truck. But wasn't 100% sure what brand plugs and wires would be best.. Any suggestions?
if it's stock, most of the time wires are wires. Cheap is good. Will be covered by a warranty if you get some duds
iridium plugs are a waste in my mind, unless you have high compression. Even then they only give a slight edge over conventional
I'd just factory replacement. Unless it also seems to be going through oil as well. Then I'd also pull the intake manifold and replace the plentum gasket, since when they go it also increases oil consumption due to the plate being steel and the manifold being aluminum.
