Thats lame. 140 hp 1.4 in a 3000 pound car. And then have the audacity to call it a "chevelle?" GTFO.
THIS is a Chevelle:
base model 6 cylinder chevelles of that era only made around 140hp... and i guarantee they weighed more than 3k lbs.
that being said, i'd rather see them do another "retro" car instead of bringing back an old namesake for this car.
Don't call it a chevelle, and make the 1.4 its base engine. A turbo 6 would be perfect for it.
Needs more power. Throw an LNF in it at least....
PRND321 Till I DIE
Old Motor: 160whp & 152ft/lbs, 1/4 Mile 15.4 @88.2
M45 + LD9 + 4T40-E, GO GO GO
If they call that a Chevelle every Chevelle owner should drive up to GM HQ and smack everybody in GM's marketing dept.
This car is balls deep! Balls deep in fugly.
Yeah there's more info in the other thread that GM Goodwrench - GT posted. I say if it was LSX swapped, THEN it can be called a Chevelle
Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!
They need to offer it with an LP9
effing horrible. whoever decided a turbo 1.4 was a great engine needs to be slapped in the nuts. You can't call a car with motorcycle horsepower sporty, i can't take it. what happened to the good 4 or 6 cylinder cars? why go backwards?

This concept was at the Chicago Auto Show. It is god-awful ugly in person. They had computer terminals there where you could vote for which Chevy concept was better. There was this one, and another one that looked like a Lambo. It was pretty bad a$$. I told the one Chevy rep that this concept looked like it had Down Syndrome and needed to be taken out back and shot. Then I hit on the models that were showing off the Volt and had her laughing and what not for about a half an hour by me. it was a good day, lol
I looked at the picture before the headline and I read it ''Is this the new chevette'' haha
Think Nova would fit a car of that size then chevelle.
I miss my Cavalier, even if it made 100 hp on a cold day and had more suspension then it deserved.

The Tru 140S
Same weak engine, though. They need to offer these things at least with the LNF, but I'd really love to see one with the LP9.

That must be typo, they HAD to have meant CheveTTe, not Chevelle... lol

Not my taste at all! Looks like a very watered down Camaro with a much weaker heart
So basically a vega then.

Yep, this is it. Looks really awesome in person. Much better then this C130-R garbage.
I did tell the rep she was lying though. They were trying to claim that IF the TRU-140S were to go to production, that it would cost under $20K. Looks like this, great fuel economy, unique style, etc for much less then a Cruze or a Sonic? Come on . . . This is GM. Their 2013 Malibu's are damn near $30K . . . and it's a Malibu, lol
that 130r thing is ass ugly.
