You half assed a clear coated primer paint job. Sorry I don't approve.
Before > After.
Usually color basecoat is before the clearcoat for best results.
I am not a fan of the color. If this is your first time, then its not too shabby. I think there coulda been more prep for it. Like removing the lights, and the grill (where the chevy emblem is). The grill should be painted black, as well as the A pillar/leading edge of roof IMO.
Ill give you credit for trying it yourself... but that looks terrible... gross color, terrible prep...
Color choice is not to the liking. You should have went with a metallic grey bc the grey on grey dark wheels not appealing.TOO much dark solid color. The side skirts should contrast the body paint!(lighter).Maybe make some serious modification to this?I know I would.
Good try! Now strip it and take a little more time on prep, use a nice colour, and make the wheels look more like factory.
2010 Honda Fit LX
Good attempt but the color killed the results.

Rustoluem?
What happened to the louvered hood, grid taillights, IROC wheels, etc if it's an IROC?
Look at the primer status you can see the Z28 logo at the rear lfw.It was removed! Can't see if super clear but it was on there.
It's actually single stage gray over the first off white single stage, over the basecoat. messed up picking the color the first time, this color I sorta like though. the color samples in the book are wayyy off from what they actually look like. it was supposed to be dark dark grey. and it's also my first time, so really anything constructive is appreciated. I'm painting the cav in a few weeks.
Next time you need more prep work. Remove everything that can be removed, mirrors molding, bumpers skirts all of it. If you don't it will just peel there eventually and bottom line not quality. Second thing is mistake or not the color choice in my opinion was poor, and too much of it. I would say you need more contrast like black on the bumper by the headlights, black grill etc..
Lastly single stage pain isn't the best quality stuff to work with. It's popular because it's cheap and doesn't require multiple steps but the end result is the difference in quality. Keep working at it and you can get a quality job, paint is one area where time spent will show quality or lack there of.
Flat Black is easy to spray
Its all in the prep work
