AERODYNAMICS: AIR CURTAINS
Air curtains, used here for the first time in a BMW production vehicle, improve air flow around the wheel arches with the benefit of significantly reduced turbulence. This innovative aerodynamic feature consists of openings in the outer section of the lower front fascia that route high-pressure air through ducts at each front corner. The ducts are approximately 10 x 3 centimeters wide and are designed to channel air to openings at the front of each wheel arch, where it is discharged through a very narrow opening at high speed. The escaping air stream covers the side of the front wheels like a curtain, thereby reducing aerodynamically unfavorable turbulence around the rotating wheels. (Technology stems from BMW Vision Efficientdynamics).
Sweet!
I drove one a few weeks ago for a bit, same colour and everything.
They are pretty fun and go pretty good, noticeable amout of turbo lag on that engine however.
Pricey tho, for that price you could get a new GT500...and thats at MRSP and not the rediculous dealer mark-ups currently on the 1M's.
They are all over the place in Rochester, and they all seem to think its a race car... lol
Some older woman showed up to an AutoX with one, talked a huge game, and finished in the bottom 5th, haha

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
Will take one in silver please. Oh and do I have to sell the house to buy one?
I LOVE them! Everything I would want out of the BMW that I would buy....
Buy it! They are already discontinued.

They did it for exclusivity pretty much. It was a limited production run.
They still didnt get it right, still too big and too heavy. And since its just a 3 series that's been rear ended it has one of the worst drag coef's of a modern car.
171" long, 66" wide, 54" tall, and 2865lb should be the stats on BMW's smallest car. The 1m is 6 inches too wide and 600 pounds too heavy. Though props to anyone who can figure out what bmw car I quoted for size.

These things are track weapons....while it might be a bit oversized (everyone wants interior room and all the newest saftey junk that weights alot) it does not feel like it whatsoever.
Feels very light and nimble to drive.
I also had the privledge to ride shotgun in a 135is around Mosport DDT with a retired racing driver, and even that car is scary fast.
BMW's M division does not mess around.
