You NEED running boards, and / or mud flaps. If you look at an older HHR without mudflaps and Running boards the rear fenders will be sand blasted. I didn't listen, and had to get the lower part of my HHR repainted. The 05-06 models could get GM to repaint the lower half if the owner bought running boards and had GM install them.
Your rear fenders and doors are going to be destroyed if you do not add mud faps at least to the front.

I wanna add the the running boards but at $500+ its like geez... I want to add them and the SS rear lip and put iton some chrome and black 20's with a nice lip

Yeah thank god I have a way to get a discount at Dimmit Chevy. All said and done with running boards and the SS rear lip painted and installed will cost me just under $900..... but it is so far from a priority right now its not even on my mind. Kind of have to finish the Cavi and buy a house and probably not in that order :-(
