2004 Sle package does not want to engage 4wd. Any body know why? is it a vac problem like on other trucks or is it the transfer case?
Speed and ABS sensors can fu¢k up the 4WD. The issue might not be a mechanical problem. When you're on 2WD, when you back up a few feet can you put it in 4-Low? Does he have any lit up lights in the dash?
there may be a leak in the vacuum actuator that engages the transfer case.
I dyno those RE5R05A transmissions all day, but never touch the transfer cases or anything behind the extension housing. Damn. Hope ya get it figured out.
