Lately I've been thinking how awesome a nice diesel powerplant would be in a Jeep. I just love about anything with a seven-slot grill, if you know what I mean, and out here in farm land everybody wants to blow black smoke so it just occurded to me that it would be a beast. Of course this is all fantasy-land for me, right now, but look at this thing climb...

I have been really into diesel trucks lately though. I would prbly get one at income tax if i wasnt worried about the cost to repair them when things like glow plugs go bad and stuff.

I used to drive a F350 powerstroke diesel dually dump truck for my one job with the 6 speed tranny... OMG.... it was amazing... lmfao. You just feel like you are in a tank when you drive a big deisel like that.

People have been putting the 4-bt in the xj for a while now. And I have even seen them in a few tjs

not desiel but a turbo in any 4x4 is good.

A sammy with a turbo is awesome... but im no expert but wouldnt the torque of a sc be better for climbing?

when I crawl around in 4low I load the motor by holding the brake and then let the clutch out (heel toe style). I can see how a turbo would be nice since you could brake boost.

Usually when im in 4L I start in 2nd and let the clutch out at 3K so if I was boosted it would be fully spooled and would carry the boost all the way out to redline.
