Nice to see Ford is still playing catch up to GM.

-Boosted LS1?
-Richmond ROD 6-speed(will get sometime)
-Posi 12-bolt(built w/eaton posi unit and richmond 3.73 gears)
-Disc brake and 5 lug swap
+little extras
Ford quality > GM Quality
Pretty sweet package for the stangs
I'd still take a vette over a stang.. but it'd be a much tougher decision these days. Other than that I'd take most Fords over most GMs right now.

LOL, really?
I could not disagree more.
What does Ford offer performance wise compared to GM? Ford's boosted supercar still made less power than GM's N/A sports car.

Yea, that's what they're doing. Playing catch up. BTW, how much does GM owe tax payers?
O noes!
If I were to make a new V8/RWD purchase the 5.0 Mustang > Camaro SS. GM barely edges them out power-wise thanks to 74 more CI. Maybe that's the extra 300 lbs.
Also IMO the Ford Racing and SVT programs have always been
more dedicated than anything GM has offered. Partially why they're still in existence and GM's similiar programs are nowhere to be seen by me? The SVT line, the recent Raptor, then you have the return of the Boss 302 coming, Ford still delivers performance
to date.
I love popping my hood and seeing the "GM Performance Division" plate and it truly has no meaning to me, my car is lackluster in that essence yet I valued the SVT portion of a frickin' Focus I had on a week take-home test drive. IMO it's about what you do, and where you do it, and I feel GM isn't putting effort in the right places.

^Amen.
Mustang Boss' power as it surpasses the Camaro SS, granted less toque.. but that is a given due to dispalcement.

Really? The current Mustang smokes the Camaro in overall performance. The Camaro may have a bigger power number, but that's about it.
Having been a GM die hard my entire life, I've been far more impressed with what Ford has done in the past few years than GM.
My thing too, I came from a GM family and have only owned GM.
My grandpa about pissed himself when I told him I'd buy a new Mustang over the Camaro SS. LOL.
He despises anything Ford.
There's still a lot of those ol-timers out there who would rather buy a pisspoor gm product, just because its made by gm, instead of an American built honda.
Granted, GM has come a long ways in the last 3 years, but that doesnt' make up for several decades of utter crap.

The problem is every brand has that.... The brand loyal, narrow minded dumbass. Every single brand has it. You could sit one of those GM lifers in a 1997 Cavalier and then sit them in a 2011 Mustang and they will somehow pretend GM's interior was better, the Cavalier rode better, and had more power.... That's just how some people are. It's a shame really.

however if you put them in a escort or focus it would be a tie

Haha I was in my house alone and actually laughed out loud to myself
is it just me or does anyone else find that the 5.0 should have came out in the 2010 new body style cars first? maybe it just wasnt produced in time, i dont know.
but dear lord, amazing bolt on for that beast!
Oldsmobile all motor > Saab/Opel boosted
^ I agree really sucks to have been the people buying the 2010 mustang with the old engine.

My buddy bought a '10, was so proud.
Got whooped on by a Cobalt, then they dropped the 5.0l on his ass.

i lol'd when i saw "an american built honda", say it's a shame or whatever you want.
as for GM coming a long way in recent years and it not making up for decades of crap, what has ford been doing these last few decades? cuz recently, (and i suppose this is pure speculation on my part), it seems like ford has been kicking everyone else's ass. now listen to that again, i said RECENTLY. so recently ford starts building a great vehicle and everybody bows down, and GM starts doing good, and everyone downtalks them for doing the same @!#$ ford did?
i dunno, it is 100% possible that i'm retarted, i'd be the first person to admit that. just something about the whole thing seems contradictory. i'm sticking with GM, it seems as if they're coming back.
