Alright guys, going out on a whim here because were all out of ideas, anyways...
Details: 2005 Cobalt SS Supercharged... stock... 80 000 kms
The problem: Bought the car in November, clutch felt fine for about a month, then it went for a crap and would not disengage. So we replace the master, slave, friction disc, and pressure plate. Was fine for a couple weeks then starting getting a soft pedal again. We diagnosed this as another bad master, so we warrantied it and it was ok for about 2 months. And just yesterday we started having this problem again. The fluid is as clean as possible and has been flushed several times. We are all out of ideas on this so any help would be great.
Could it be the master again? If so what is causing it to screw up so often? Could it be bad fluid?
Don't know what else it could possibly be... its coming down to posting the car on auto trader because we don't want to deal with it anymore...
Any help would be awesome, we are up for trying anything at this point. Thanks in advance. If you need anymore information just let me know.
Do you vacuum bleed it? What fluid are you using? How long has the bottle been open?
We have bled it every way possible...
DOT 4
Fresh bottle...
Any ideas guys? We've tried everything possible and its really starting to piss us off!
just keep pumping it. i had a problem with my cavalier. i was just told to just keep pumping it. honestly i spent a solid 30mins pumping the clutch pedal in and out. i keep opening the bleeder when i first tried it and ended up losing all pressure. i did use my hand instead of my foot.
When you say you've bleed it
every way possible have you vacuum bled it at the slave and master?
I will ask but, will assume did you bench bleed the master before installing it? and the same for the slave. If so disregard.
did you replace the clutch pipe? we had a problem like that at out shop and it fixed it.
