Few upgrades for the Bravada
Friday, April 09, 2010 11:59 PM
This is my DD 97 Bravada. Decided to give it a few small upgrades for 2010.

Before pics:

Well one of the wheels started to peel, and being under warrenty I got a new set. Wheels were discontinued and they couldnt find a replacement.

New Wheels and tires:
20" Helo wheels on Toyo tires

I also decided to go with a brake upgrade due to the fact that the larger heavier wheels kill my brakes. Went with SSBC force 10 calipers and Brembo slotted rotors.

Also replaced my dieing JL 300/4 amp with there new mini 400/4 amp. Cant believe how small but powerful these new amps are.

My custom sub enclosure

Will post pics as soon as everything is on and done.

thanks for the comments. I will be getting started this weekend. Wheels came with chrome inlays, that I will be getting painted body color. Should look pretty good when finished.

Well. Wheels are on. Calipers were a bust, they were single to dual piston upgrade. So they didnt work due to that fact I already the updated dual piston calipers. Got the rotors on and a new set of oem calipers and hawk pads. Stops alot better now.

So 2 things,
let me know if you can find a 1000/1 or 500/1 my bro's friend stole mine while i was away, and please either get rid of those rims and go larger or drop the truck down a bit. they look good either way. i had my 97 jimmy on both 31's and my 16 inch gta rims

Just not my cup of tea... Never been into the whole SUV/big wheels thing. The audio install looks great though.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

good for you, finally someone smart enough to realize that when you put on bigger wheels you need better brakes

Not bad, but that thing needs a 98+ grill/headlight upgrade.

im just not seeing the fit here...

it looks like ur average daily driven family mobile that possibly grandpa would drive.

those wheels look completely out of place to me for some reason.

good call on brakes and that sub box looks freaking amazing, nice work.

Don't know what ya got til they take it away...

Thanks for the comments guy. Still have a few things to do. I just ordered slotted rotors for the rear. My pcm came back from wait4me performance. Had the tune updated. Going to go with a 2" drop. Just need to make sure my winter wheels and tires will clear without rubbing. Blocks in the rear and torsion bar keys up front. Its not a major drop just alittle to close the gap a bit and to level it out.
