well after 6 years, i traded in the cavi yesterday

Well after 4 years, alot of time, memories, lol and money. traded the cavalier in last night.

went from stock, to turbo, to forged motor/hahn portfueler, to back to stock, to traded in.

Got this for $6,200 out the door after trade in. Only 42,000 miles on it.

Keeping it stock but going to do a ZZP stage 3 upgrade. Want a reliable daily driver.

Still got the vette to mod. Working on a LS2 swap for it. going to TRY and have it done for mid summer.

Still need an intakemanifold, cam, and a few other misc small parts.

Sweet pick up man!

I always wondered how hard it would be to get used to the center cluster, would be strange for a while im sure.

Nice vette too!

Two things:

-Great price on the redline (IMO)!!

-Why an LS2 swap in an LS1 vette? Do you just happen to have the engine laying around or get it for very cheap? If you're going through a swap, I'd go bigger than that (LS3 or LS7)

I got the vette for 8,000 plus trade it on my s2000. I wanted the hardtop FRC/ZO6 body style and they are hard to come by. It has aounrd 97,000 miles on it. I want to do a heads/cam swap on it, but dont feel comfortable with those kind of miles.

I got a <10,000 mile LS2 shortblock out of an 07 vette for 1,400 shipped to my door from a moderator off ls1tech that ugpraded to a 427. felt alot more comfortable buying it from a moderator then a random person.

LS7s go for around 4-6k for a shortblock. LS3s go for about 2,500- 3,500.

Not a bad trade up. Ion Redlines get a bad rap because the regular Ions were so boring. But the upside to that is the resale on them suck so you can get a killer deal on a great car. Good see you kept the vette, looks like great things are coming in the future for the batmobile.

yeah man i couldnt believe how cheap they were. I was lookin at 2000 + civic EX's and they were going for 4500-5000.even with over 100k miles. Figured an extra few grand gets me half the miles, few years new, leather recaros, and a supercharger

Nice!

I enjoy both.

My buddy's Ion RL sunroof drains were plugged, we had a Noreaster so his interior got soaked, we had the interior out faster than a Cavalier's! LOL.

thats sick...how much was the sticker price if you don't mind me asking.

I'd like a SS or redline if i could find a decent deal.

they were asking 8,500. got them down to 8,000. got 1,500 trade in, and put 500 down.

low end kbb on my cavi was 1,250 and high end was 1,850. i offered 1,500 and they took it. i bought in new for 10,500 in 2004. first and last time i ever buy a brand new car

Always had a place in my heart for the redline as well.
