A friend of mine just had the same thing happen to his GTI the other night as well, ripped a chunk off of his R32 front bumper he had on his car and his freshly powder coated OZ superleggera ended up losing a chunk of the lip off of it.
Sucks to see for sure man, I love me some G8's!
