WTF. Way too much. Its a 4 banger beater that's 13 years old. Hell no to 5300 unless it performs fellatio.

Not perfect, but I paid $600 and it didn't need a single repair.

find me one around here lol some people do get great deals from those just wanting to get rid of them

Re: Possible New Truck

Yeah man, i would just keep looking for that special, undeniable deal. That S-10 you are looking at is in good cosmetic and structural condition, but it's 2wd, 4cyl(most useless pickup truck configuration), and 100K+ miles. For a daily driver, if I am buying a pickup, it has to have some kind of usefulness lol. Especially at the price you could find a good used old full size 4X4 chevy for.

yeah i was as surprised as my neighbor was with his 99 silverado 4wd that is nearing 200k , blue book lists it in the 9k range , and he has seen newer trcks with low miles sell closer to 5k , LMAO

only plus's with that s10 is 5spd and red(since your a red addict) , but still doesnt look to bad , i think 2k would be a good price too

after my cavy just got totalled, i picked up a 2000 with the 2.2l
its an auto, LS extended cab. only has 34,000 on it. body/paint is mint.
been rust proofed, has bed liner, tanaeu [however its spelled] cover.
drivin by an old guy that died, always garaged, not a even a tiny speck of rust on the car.
and paid under the kelly blue book value of it. was worth $5,500, paid only $4,300 for it.
truck is in show room/brand new condition!!!! i would pass on that. get one with wayyyy
lower miles for sure! i would only pay like $2,000 at MOST for that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but really wouldnt
want it to be $2,000 i would talk em down even further!

If you're looking to spend $2500 a dealer is the last place to look.... Also 4x4 or bust for a winter beater.

Start hitting up craigslist.... You can find 4x4 s10's, full sizes, blazers, toyotas, nissans, jeeps, etc all the time for that price. My dad just picked up a mint 90 chevy 1500 4x4 5.7 5 speed with 61k for $2400. The deals are out there you just have to be the first one on the scene with the cash. A full size would be perfect that way you wouldn't have to tow with that colorado.

I like it a lot but i have to agree with everyone.. i live in PA and i wouldnt want a 2wd unless i got a hella deal, and i dont know how close to the lake u live.

Look in classifieds. If you were willing to travel to PA i could look around for you on some classified websites?

http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/classifieds/viewad.cgi?adindex=545560
Sais runs and 4x4 works good but it needs "work" and is only like 500 bucks so i dunno what it needs lol. fullsize

http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/classifieds/viewad.cgi?adindex=544168
Auto and has monster logos painted on(you could paint it up easy) but only 800

http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/classifieds/viewad.cgi?adindex=537750
88 Scottsdale newly painted 2500 bucks

http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/classifieds/viewad.cgi?adindex=535971
Lowered s10 2500 bucks

There is a lot more... i only showed the ones that were around 2500 bucks and were chevys. There are others that are like 600 that need motor work or whatever. And others that are old and lifted, wasnt sure if you wanted to look at stuff like that lol.

have you driven an S10? The colorados are a lot better then the S10's. My S10 couldn't get around in the RAIN. Let alone snow
