Finally done with the mods on the truck
Sunday, June 28, 2009 12:24 PM
Well I finally got pretty much everything done that I am doing to the truck. The only thing left is ford keys to level the front end side to side. I am keeping the inch front rake that I have going on. Think it might be time for a regear and bigger meats but I don't want to trim any or not be able to stuff the tires during flex off road. Well on with the pics.

You need to get the projectors for that. I had a teacher when i was in hs who had, what looked a LOT like yours, a silverado with these, and it tied everything together like you wouldnt believe.

LOOKS GOOD!

I see you have 315/75's which is a 33inch tire, have you thought of going up a hair more, maybe some 35's or so. I know you need to stuff the tires when you flex, but you shouldn't have any problem with stuffing 35's.....at least until while you still have CV's. Is a SAS in the works?

Thanks man, the 315/75/16 actually measures out to a 34.6 or 34.8 pending on the brand of tire you get. If I am wrong I would like to get some 35's but the price jump is out of my range right now with being between jobs. I would love to do a sas but its way to much work and money for my daily driver right now. Once I get a garage to park it in and a new truck to drive I will start one for sure. I gotta learn to weld first though hahaha.

Dude.... i'm telling you..... it would tie the whole getup together. And you can get these projectors with a darker interior(which would be perfect for your truck)... You can't tell me thats not sweet. =P

Slight problem with those projectors. They come wired with H1 bulbs. I have HID's already so they are out of the question plus I think they look hideous with the leds in them. If they could make some that look stock and not have halo or led then i would see about getting some plus accept my hid kit that I have already.

you gonna get a aftermarket bumper and trim the wheel wells? It doesnt look like bigger tires would stuff too easily

Nah to trim the wheel wells I would have to get the cutout flares which are like 800 for the set. I might go to about 36 maybe 37 but that will be pushing it I think. I don't really car for any after market bumpers that they make for it. I feel the truck is to small for a bumper like that. Maybe on the next truck. Planning on getting a 350 or 3500 or something to that caliber.

If you ever find some clear ones with the side orange reflectors and no leds and retain all the stock bulb mounts then let me know. I want to make this truck as legal as possible and removing the side showing reflectors/turn signal light is illegal. Luckily the hids don't scatter bad in the stock housings like on the cav. I just aim them down and I have never been flashed once for them being bright.

The family owns a ton of them for farming and there is one out in the pasture that we use to mow it heh. But why would it matter if I did or not?

I have a HUGE aftermarket truck catalog, ill check that too. They will be a little more expesive their possible. I mean.. it looks good as is, but, i just love the silverados with aftermarket lights... looks bad ass because there is two on each side seperated. ( i mean i know they arent BOTH headlights, but still, you know what i mean)

Sorry, I've seen too many of that exact same setup here to say anything nice about it. On the other hand, I know what your truck looks like in every colour it was available in.
