My father in law is looking into getting the new Camaro, probably next year. He had some information mailed to him about the car and he told me with all the options he wanted it was going to cost him 40K. WTF? Wasn't the Camaro supposed to be the poor mans Corvette? That's damn near porsche territory isn't it? If I was spending 40K on a car, it sure as hell wouldn't be a chevy..and if it was, it'd be a corvette. Is it really WORTH that much?
What other performance cars are around that pricetag that are in your opinion better(speaking of new cars ONLY)?

yeap 21" wheel and tire package is 5K. auto tranny cost extra We had 2 here one a 2lt RS 30K and one 2SS 43k the option list was 7K alone.
I saw some old guy with a bight yellow one with gray racing stripes on it.. had a cowl hood and sounded like an exhaust...
Tried to show off at a very congested intersection at 5pm rush hour and killed it and couldn't get it started LOL
