I have an 03 S-10 ZR2...on the 3rd door right behind the drivers door....the bottom latch seems to have stuck and i cant get the door open....any suggestions? ive snmacket it with a screwdriver and hammer and sprayed it with penetrating oil....please help

Sure the handel on the inside of the door isn't broken? Those trucks are know for that. The plastic clip that holds the rod snaps off.

no i took it apart the handle is off....and when i pull the rod it moves the latch release, however the latch wont release off of the bar that it latches onto....ive taken the inside door panel off and i still cant get it to manually release with a screwdriver or anything like that

Can you get to the bolts holding in the bottom part of the latch? That's really odd that you can get the latch to move but it won't let go. I'd also try prying up on the door itself while pulling the rod in the door. It almost sounds like the door is pushing down on the latch so it won't fully disengage.

the latch has released and its almost like its not totally latched on the door its kinda loose ya know kike its not shut all the way....i think either the spring broke or its bent somehow and and jammed up in there and wont flip over....ill keep trying...and no i cant get to the bolts to undo under the door not enough clearence....ill keep trying if anyone else has any input on this let me know....ill try to pry up on the door as well
