Looks good! I bet its a lot more fun to drive than the fire. Are those the rims off your sunfire? It would look great with a drop.
No, I sold the rims that were on my fire and don't worry, I got Tein springs going on soon
Awesome. Make sure to post some pics when you get those springs on.
i guess its a 'better' car.
congrats?
I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.
You're right Brad, it's no 98 Cavalier.....

Looks good, I like it a lot.

LOL i guess you didnt see the sarcasm.
the only thing i dont like about these things is the way owners refer to them. only as 'srt-4's' and not a 'neon srt-4' its like okay my car isnt a cheap econobox, its a z24. lol
its a nice car man and black on black owns.

Looks good. Paint that hoodscoop cowl black, ditch the mesh, and put a massive IC in there and your golden. Oh, and some eyelids too...

Nice.
My buddy's was stupid fun on stock turbo.
Just hate the stereotype owners of the damn things!
Not to crazy for the rims, but you got a great platform to have some fun with, if you're not already.
Nice car, congrats!

And I drive an Evo... not a Lancer Evolution X.
To the OP. Have fun with it man. Way more fun than any J on here that's not boosted. And the people who think it's a lateral move are insane. You'll get your haters, but at the end of the day pushing the gas pedal will put a smile on your face, and as long as you like it that's all that matters. You can make it quite fast as well
Take care of it.
Yeah, the SRT4 is a perfect example of a pretty good car ruined by idiot owners... Part of the problem with making a car thats got good power, is fun to drive, and cheap, is that with low price comes young, stupid owners who don't know how to handle what they have. Not that all of them are like that, but enough are where its become the stereotype for the car...

^ Exactly, not to mention the number of them totalled due to such. Hell a member in FL sold his Sunfire, bought one, and killed himself here alone.
Back on subject, tons of upgrades, I'd go nuts if I owned one and only fall deeper into debt. I know on stock turbo, bolt-ons, and 21psi tuned my friend's 1st and 2nd gear were useless. I was content with that. Now he's running direct port and a GTK-500 turbo. Silly.

It is a lateral move. Neon and J car are in the same catagory. So Chrysler slapped a turbo on and called it something else, its still just a Neon. A neighbor down the street has several Neons and a "srt-4" and even he will say that it is still just a Neon and no better than my Cavaliers.
A cobalt with a turbo is still just a Cobalt. Based on my moms Cobalt and the few G5s I have worked on I would actually say a Cobalt is a step down compared to a J car.
If you enjoy the car then that is fine, just dont adopt the mentality of most of the owners around here that think they have the greatest car around. In the end it is still just a Neon though.

Are we not figuring in the wheel/tire/suspension/brake upgrades here too? It is a Neon no lie, but stock for stock an SRT-4 is an upgrade compared to a J.
SS/TC damn sure would outhandle a stock Cobalt, yes it is still a Cobalt, but.
Nice pickup Greg, have fun with it man!

Whoa so this turned into another J-bo bitch fest lol.
But anyways, thanks to all for the kind words, it def. is a lot of fun to drive. Also coming from an auto sunfire gt eco to this, I would have to say is an upgrade in my book. You can disagree or whatever, at the end of the day I won't give a @!#$. I finally have a car I'm having fun in. Sure at the end of the day it's a neon, but who cares. I'm just driving it and having fun and hoping to not become "that guy with an srt". But I got a lot of plans for it and will try to keep this post updated for when I get the parts together and put on the car.
Thanks
