My girlfriend is looking into getting into an old Porsche. and were deciding on either a 944 and old 911 or a early 200 late 90's boxer. the boxter option is kinda out becasue to hit the price range were needing to go with a salvage title. so were really focusing on an older 911 or a mint 944
do you guys have any decent pictures of some nice looking older porsches. ?
thanks

Im sure that took you all of about 8.5 seconds
be careful....you could easily purchase a problem/money pit
Does it have to be a fast porsche? 924s are older and look similiar to the 944 but they wont kill when it comes to buy because they dont get converted to SBC or turboed because the drive line is weaker then the 944 and 944 turbo. If you dont have emissions testing you can get a small block powered 944(converted) or turbo the 944.

http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche/ERK944TURBO/LRA-951-ERK.html this one has engine rebuilding and and other suspension and other wear items
when buying the car ask for service records for the car porsche says that the belt has to be replaced by 60 thousand miles or your going to bit in the ass hard. when the belt breaks it takes the valves with it. good luck
I'm still a huge fan of the 968... The last/best reiteration of the 924

either its going to cost you, or you are going to get a bucket of a porche that is going to need a ton of expensive work
I couldn't agree more.
You really need to know your way around the garage, or have good buddies into Porsches if you're going down this route.
Than again, I suppose the same could be said about any old German/Italian car. I would, still, love to pickup a 968, but
I just can't afford to deal with the drama. Maybe someone else can chime-in with first hand experience working on old
Porsches because I'm guessing they're more trouble than their worth.
