Picked up a new project!

Just picked up a new car to keep me busy. A bone stock 89' Ford Taurus SHO , 160K miles , black with tan interior and a 5 speed. This car is unbelievably quick for what it is. The engine is still strong but does need a little work. But hey not bad for $700. Here she is......

Drove one in HS, loved that car. Nice find for $700.

I had to opportunity to get one of these a few years back, but I had no credit and I didn't have the $3k they wanted for it, so I had to pass. Have fun!

Nice, I had a couple 92's. They are real sleepers, but they are hard to get traction with, the tranny sucks, and maintainance is a real bitch.
I highly recommend the brake upgrade (can't remember off-hand what car the parts are off of, but it's common), 26mm rear sway bar (if you don't have it already), and GOOD tires

Yeah i just gutted the whole rear part of the car , changed the outer tie rods, new air filter, removed the intake silencer , cleaned the throttle body and dropped in a bottle of injector cleaner. I must say the first time i pulled this sucker out of the driveway and floored it i had no traction all of first gear!! (215/65/15 ) . I still have lots of work ahead of me before i can get into performace goodies like a new ignition switch, new cam position sensor , tranny fluid flush (gears are a little sticky after 5-10min of driving) and new tires. But i must say say this car is lots of fun.
