At least for the UK, exchange rate is included here.
From Autocar...
GM Europe has released UK pricing information for the new Chevrolet Cruze, with GM's much-anticipated new small car aggressively positioned below the Ford Focus, its main bogey in the British and European markets.
When it hits UK Chevy dealerships this July, the Cruze will start at 11,545 pounds ($16,149 at current exchange rates) for the 111bhp 1.6-liter gas-powered, five-speed manual-equipped model that features six airbags, stability control and a stereo with CD player.
The Cruze LS model is expected to be the volume player for Chevy in Europe and at 12,595 pounds ($17,619), UK customers will get the 1.6-liter engine mated to a manual transmission (what GM says is a segment-first six-speed automatic is an extra cost option), 16-in. alloy rims, a chrome-trimmed grille, fog lights and parking sensors. Cruze LS pricing is some 4000 pounds less than a comparably equipped Ford Focus. That's a significant spread and it's sure to be one of the Cruze's main selling points over the long-established Focus nameplate.
At the top of the range is the Cruze LT, which comes in either a 139bhp 1.8-liter gas or 2.0-liter diesel engine variants and has all the bells and whistles including 17-in. rims, cruise control, high output stereo and an optional satellite navigation system. Pricing tops out at 15,195 pounds ($21,255) for the top level 2.0-liter diesel-equipped model.
It's important to note that the UK pricing as it relates to U.S. dollars will not necessarily be reflective of pricing levels for the U.S. version of the Cruze when it debuts here sometime in 2010. Expect U.S. pricing to start somewhere in the $14,000 range and move up from there. While the European Cruze features the 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter gas engines and two 123bhp or 148bhp 2.0-liter diesel variations, the U.S.-market Cruze should come with just one engine option to start, GM's new 1.4-liter turbocharged
FOUND HERE.
In other Cruze news, the 2009 World Touring Car Championship got underway last week in Curitiba, Brazil, where the new Cruze race car made its debut. It finished out of the points in both races (a fifth-place finish in the first race was wiped out after a restart penalty) but showed promise by running the fastest lap of the rain-drenched second event.

Curious to see how this will sell. I think it will do well here. Looks good, high quility (so I read), and I think the turbo engine is a great idea.
I don't know what it is, but i guess the styling is growing on me. It's starting to look more BMW 1 series knock off and less Daewoo to me.

Solid car. BUT Gm needed this years ago..... They are only now catching up in the market place to the Civic Sedan, Corolla and what not... I feel Kia, Hyundai, and NIssan are still offering lackluster products in this segment. The new Sentra is Ghastly. TO boot, The Versa feels like it has more room inside !)... THe Cobalt/G5 are not even on the Radar at this point, their only selling point in the 4DR market is their cheap price, reliability, warranty. (BUT in these days, you need to have the Interior and Exterior refinement, that is 80 % of the sale !

ughh.. I'll keep my Civic.. That interior is horrible, especially the seats.. Come on GM, you can do better than that..

100000000000000000000000000000000000x better than the Cobalt.

And unfortunately that's not saying much..

Well usually I am a hater.
But wow, that is a really nice looking interior. I am not in the market for a four door.
But if I had a new born like my buddy just did, I would concider this.
" Aint nothin' but a Peanut!"
so how does this thing really size up to the import competitors like the benchmark civic and corolla?

the steering wheel is a little goofy but thats not really a big deal
I think it looks good. I would consider one if it is built here. It would be nice to see a sport version with a turbo and 6 speed manual one day...
2004 Cavalier. Razzi. (Sold)
1998 Corvette. Some mods.
1992 Typhoon. Lots of mods.
1994 Civic VX 44MPG
Sick interior! Its about damn time!
With matching color Sparco racing seats and steerring wheel the interior woulnd't be so bad.
Having been in many of the new Civics, this car is definitely on par, if not better interior wise.

I dunno. I did a quick and dirty photoshop of the cars doing the most basic mods any of us would do to a Cruze if we owned one (i.e. rims, lowering, and window tint)
And I have to say they don't look half bad with a little aftermarket thrown at them.
I'll stick with my comment that they have some BMW 1 series in their look and raise another comparo...a baby Audi, from the rear at least.
Just adds fuel to the fire that GM should invest a little into an SS model.
