94 lumina help please

well my girlfriends step-dad has a lumina, and recently told me that the air filter was covered in gas. anyone have any suggestions on what to check on the car?

You sure its fuel? Check all your fuel lines. If its really "Soaked" in gas it should be a pretty decent leak as fuel evaporates rather fast. So if you're running the vehicle it should be a pretty visible leak.

let me guess its a 3.1 or 3.4 , if so then the fuel pressure reg is leaking

with the car running , pull the vacuum line going to the pressure reg , fuel should be coming out of it , also shut the motor off while that vac line is disconnected and should leak

ive seen the fuel pressure reg leak in 1 way , or the other , and also both , but either way its all bad

its the 3.1, ill have to let him know about that, and see if it works.

fuel should NOT be coming out of the vaccuum line.....thats why it is the vacuum line, not the fuel line.
