I just got a plymouth lazer RS Turbo, And i cant wait to start working on this engine. But im not sure if it is worth the money i put into it?
It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road
prolly not.
I would try to do a budget build, and have a nice beater.
But its your ride, I just wouldnt expect to see any of that money back when you're done.
if it has the 2.5 you could easily build a bullet-proof turbo sleeper
dont turn the boost up to much lol we made the turbo on one of those things glow loke a candle

my kill list:a geo metro and a mac semi wow did i kill that thing
I havnt gotten around to looking at it cuz its usually -50 with the wind chill here, The only thing i know is that its a 1991 plymouth
lazer rs turbo, The clutch fuel pump and rad are toast, But i was replacing most of those items anyway. I will be adding a new turbo set up and changing all the internals.

a 4g63t yes.
My dad had one when i was younger and that car was awesome. Sooo much fun
put the money in it its well worth it. we have a 91 auto awd eclipse 16g that pulls 13s and a gutted 90 fwd laser on m/ts that pulls high ass 11s-12.3
get a ss 02 dump, 3in down pipe, solid charge lines, 600cc injs, and a warlbro 190 or 255. you can pull some good times with those mods. also look into the evo III 16g and the super 20g from MHI, for a nice size turbo. check my build thread for some ideas.
Yeah i want to get the engine rebuilt, so that its like almost new, then start with a turbo upgrade.

its a 6 bolt 4g63. skys the limit. check out dsm tuners for a crap ton of info. slo boy racing has some decent priced long and short blocks. my buddy has 5k including the price of the car into his and runs mid 12's all day long on street tires.
check magnus racing for rebuild kits. not cheap but damn near bomb-proof. also look into a 50st nitrous intercooler bar setup or methanol/water inj. system.
I was wondering if i'm going to be upgrading mostly everything on the inside and outside of my engine, but i was wondering if the i could use the stock block? I know it has plenty of kilometers on it, im worried that the block might not be strong enough for my Hp goals since its an older engine,I also found out its actually a 1990, does that make a difference? Any suggestions would be great.

It's still a 4G63T, there are plenty around the 100,000 mile mark that can still hold 350-400whp on stock inernals. That block itself should hold 1,000whp.
- 93 mph in the 1/8 mile
