I like it, really i do, and not to shoot you down...but....
You didnt get that good of a deal...
nice truck .. but even us cali people know 2wd sucks in snow. but congrats on your 1st NEW car though
Congratz on the new truck, but I have to agree with the others that you should have bought one with 4wd. I had a 2wd Dakota back in the day and it was horrible in snow....even with sandbags piled in the back.
the 2.8 vortec is probably the best 4cyl motor availible for any small truck on the market. Very solid. My freind has the same truck... VERY poor in the snow, but overall a great truck for stuff that needs to get done.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
2wd isn't all that bad and I live in Michigan. Just add some weight and carry a tow strap and a shovel and you'll be fine. We got like 13" of snow a little while ago, I would much rather have a 4x4, but you'll be fine.
rosario-u dont think $9,000 off the sticker isnt a good deal? u must rember this is canadian funds...
AZ24NCav-thanks! honestly ive driven this truck in 2 heavy snow falls and its been great...
urban-to each his own my man but thanks all the same...
Tribalz-thanks. like i said ive driven it in 2 heavy snow falls and its been fine its a good lil truck and wont be driven foolishly i know the limits of the truck and wont attempt to drive through a field or off road at all...
cchevyboy1986-thanks! im from winnipeg so i know how to drive in snow(got my drivers license during a nice mini blizzard) and honestly my dads s-10 is 2wd and it does great in snow my uncles f-150 is 2wd and samething zero problems in the snow... im not worried at all about getting stuck or anything like that im loving RWD(my first!)...
overall im very happy with the truck and am glad i went with 2wd since it would be utterly useless to me and would have costed me alot more, i drove my sisters jimmy for 2 years and never once used the 4wheel drive...

I didnt know it was canadian funds, that does change my opinion a little
^ya i forgot to mention it in the original post that im from canada... the thing was the dealership offered $7,000 off the truck which brought it down to $23,000 however i called a chevy dealership and asked how much the same truck would be from them and they said they could let me have it for $21,722 so i told the dealership i got this one from and they then offered to give me the Canyon for $21,000 even so in the end i got $9,722 off... thanks alot tho it is nice looking i like the look of it a little better than the Colorado...
