1996 Toyota Tercel with an ep82 Starlet 4EFTE swap 4e Starion FMIC,fhe cams,5efe nippon 74.5mm pistons, bored .020 over, HKS BOV, 2.5" exhaust with 4g eclipse resonator paseo front brakes, 4speed, hockey puck semi-solid motor mounts, gsr fat 5 15" rims wrapped in 195/50/15 cooper zeon zpt tires. leather interior, power windows, folding rear seat, kicker 600 watt 4channel amp powering 1 6" bazooka bass tube, 2 dual 4 way 6.5" speakers up front and 2 6.5" hifonics zues component speakers in the rear deck, head unit is a jvc basic cd player.

the interior, its the full soft trim leather option from a 97 redhawk including power windows and locks(locks dont work), 60/40 split rear seat, 5 speed shift knob, no shift boot, black dash, carpet, head liner , and rear deck. beige and tan everything else.

Someone was telling me about this swap. I thought J bodies were sleepers until I saw this going on lol..

I had never heard of this swap. I started searching the net for cars to be a sleeper. I thought of things like DSM's then I thought about a Mirage with a 4G63T swap in it. I was pretty set on an older sentra with an SR20DET swap in it. Then I found TercelOnline.com. You would not believe the amount of support Tercels have for them. Not to mention you can pick up a tercel for next to nothing. I got this car from a kid who was getting ready to leave for basic training. He bought it from his mom who bought this car brand new back in 1996....haha. You can pick one up for a couple hundred and the swap complete everything needed all the extra's I had to buy ran 1900. The whole project so far has less than 2500 in it and the car flys. I've already smoked a couple 98/99's mustang GT's. I was beat by about a car by an 08 mustang GT. So it moves....lol.

LOL
i thought the same exact thing, you look like your starting your own race team there.

I have to admit this is one of the most impressive build-ups i've seen on here in a long time bro. Any plans to lower it just a tad, that's all i can see it needing.

At first I was like... what kind of piece of crap is this? Then I looked farther down, and you got a sweet little sleeper there. Must make peoples jaws drop when its going all out. Got any future plans for it? Big brakes?

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.

Haha they are tiny...remember this is a 1996 Tercel. It came with 13" steelies and took 9 minutes to go 0-60.

Thanks man appreciate it. Yea, I will probably lower it. Like I said these rims are going on the integra and I'm picking up a set of Rota RT5's 16" in flat black for this car. If I lower it on these it'll rub.

Parts are hard to find for this car. I've got Paseo front brakes on it which are about 1.5" bigger in diameter on the front. As for the rear...I have no clue wtf to do yet haha. Its pretty quick right now but it needs more. The factor computer from the 4E-FTE limits my boost to 12lbs. So i'm going to be ordering Greddy E-manage ultimate piggy back to tune it with. As for other plans I have a new FMIC with piping, 440cc injectors, FPR, walbro 255lph fuel pump on the way. I will be ordering a Turbo manifold and turbo soon as I figure out which one I want. I'll probably go with a TD04 which is a stock turbo off a 3000GT VR-4. Pics and updates when my parts come in. As far as jaw dropping...yea its not bad. I suprised some kids in an Integra the other day. They laughed at my over sized tach and took off. Right up until the point I decided to down shift and blow by with the HKS BOV yelling at them.

Its in storage for the winter. Look for major updates on that when I get back from my deployment. Which is going to be in about 8months i'll be back. So I wouldn't expect any threads popping up on that any time soon.
