Nissan Altima - 10,828
Honda CR-V - 12,153
Chevy Impala - 12,851
Dodge Ram - 15,538
Honda Accord - 17,430
Honda Civic - 17,690
Toyota Corolla - 21,807
Toyota Camry - 24,224
Chevy Silverado - 29,534
Ford F-Series - 37,911

I find it interesting that every single vehicle on this list has one thing in common: bullet-proof reliability. Even the Dodge Ram fares well in the mechanical department. For years I've been suspecting that the internet has helped let the average consumer know which cars are the "best" (when it comes to long lasting reliability) and like it or not, that's the list you'd have gotten from a car guy around 1998. The net's a bit slow to catch up to recent developments, but it's obviously following past trends.

Anyone else also snickering at all the greenies who are using the current crisis to try and push their hybrid agenda? Yeah... Out of ten vehicles, seven are full size cars or trucks. I'm sure people are totally ready to switch to tiny electric cars.

You also need to take into account that in November gas prices plumeted again. Americans in general can't think more than a few days into their futures. Throw gas prices back up to $4.00 a gallon and the numbers will change.

There are also only 3 trucks on that list, most everything else on that list will get 25mpg+

the trucks aren't far behind they all can get 20 on the HWY

don't give me this short minded crap....trucks always have, and always be the best selling vehicle on the road...the gap has lessened, but they are maintaining their #1 role
