So im debating about trading in my GS for a 645Ci. I love the GS and the options but ive always been a fan of the 6 series BMWs for the longest time. I found one that could possibly work for me but it would require me driving down to Florida. That i dont have a problem with. My buddy who use to work for BMW mentioned to me that they have problems with battery drain, I drive and the brain module. The car would be under warranty though so Im hoping it wouldnt be a big deal. Any thoughts on what you guys would do?
I say go for the 6. I like the 6 a lot...too bad I can't afford one on my wages haha
id keep the GS
nice as hell, and less headaches
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I-Drive
GS FTW!
i'm a bwm fanboy to the grave. go with the 6 series.

I love BMW's but I NEVER take trade Lexus reliability for German unreliability

BMW. Why have a knock-off when you can have the real thing?
And don't give me this bull@!#$ about reliability. If you are looking at buying a $60,000 car, maintenance doesn't matter.
a friend of mine M6 ..... bmw FTW

I don't mean "knock-off" like a cheap Chinese copy that's sold for 1/4 of the price, because it's definitely not. But, I mean that Lexus started in what, 1989, and have looked eerily similar to BMW's and Benzes (more Benz) since they come out. The best comparison I can come up with is motorcycles. Harley has been building motorcycles for a hundred years, and in the past 20 Japan has started build imitations of them. Granted, there are a few out there that are "right there" as far as style, sound, etc. But, nobody that likes cruiser-type motorcycles ever dreams of "owning a Yamaha V-Star someday." Now, that doesn't mean Japanese motorcycles are not very nice, and in some respects, superior to their American competition, but, there's that intangible reason that people love Harleys (or BMW's, or M-B's, or Ferraris).
Basically, you asked which one I would buy between a Lexus and a BMW, and that's my reasoning for picking a Bimmer.
And for my comment about maintenance costs, Ferrari owners don't care that a timing belt service costs as much as a Cobalt, that's just part of the deal.
