A 3.1L is a 3.1L correct??

Ok, I got a 3.1L in a buick skylark (Grand am) and the recycler needs to know the VIN letter for the car, thats not a problem but I always thought a 3.1 was just that. My major Q is if I get a 3.1 from a different car is there going to be a problem with the wiring, mounts, plenum??? Im in need of a quick answer so thanks guys in advance..

Getting another 3.1 of similar year, I don't think you will have a problem no matter which model of car it is in(meaning buick, chevy, pontiac, obviously a 3.1 from another brand isn't going to work lol)

you shouldn't run into any problems with wiring harnesses as long as it is the same engine, no matter what car it comes out of.
