Hey guys,
Got this car back in the summer as a daily driver/ winter beater, anywho, i love the @!#$ out of this car.
Its an '81 Pontiac Catalina, 80 000 miles, no rust, never winter driven, needed only a muffler hanger for cert
Anywho, its awesome to cruise around town in this bad boy.
Little dirty here, on the fact that i took it to work...but pics none the less.
Also put this in tonight....mainly to chat with my buddys (most of which have one in there jeeps/winter beaters)
land yacht with a cb lol....reminds me of my cousin's "big yellow bird" (a 70s caddy) from back in high school. those were good times hahaha
I <3 the B-body gm cars. I kinda miss my 86 caprice coupe it was awesome on road trips...smooth rides 20mpg highway with the cruise and seated 6 comfortably......I'm jealous man what did you pay for it? oh and what motor?
I paid $1500 for it, which is kinda high, but i only had to put $3 (muffler hanger) into it to get it on the road....this car is immaculate....i almost feel bad driving it in the winter.
Its the buick 3.8L V6 in it, 2 barrel carb....needs some tunning as it running a bit rich, yet the motor still runs like a champ.
Its also got a cherry bomb for an exhaust since the original one was rusted out.
I have more fun driving this around then my sunfire...LOL
what the hell is that thing where the CD player should be?
GO PATS!!!
Cassette deck, son!
Mint! I was rocking a big body '93 GrandmaRquis for my winter beater for the past couple years, RWD tank beaters FTW haha. Sold that piece this year though.
Needs some 24's.
I just got rid of my 84 Pontiac Bonnieville, same color as yours, wood grain, power everything....rode like a caddy since it had the brougham package. I had the 305 V8 with 77K miles, would light the tires up in 1st and 2nd.
1500? thats not bad at all I sold my 2door for 2000 with a broken trans....4 stopped engaging and 3rd slippe dunder wot.....the bottom of both rear quarters need patch pannels and doors were starting to rust out......I'd pay 1500 for a clean 4-door no prob...
LOL well then maybe i didn't make out too bad after all.
I wish it had the 305, the v6 has no balls, will barely spin the tires on gravel for 5 feet....v6 is only putting out 110hp...lol
I think once i get the carb tuned it will be a bit peppier.....i hope...lol
Thanks for the comments guys, i plan on taking some more pics of it cleaned up before winter hits...so keep an eye out
put in a damn CD player!!! i have no idea what a CA....SETTE is. does it play records?
GO PATS!!!

yes it plays records, you should definitely pick one up for your car/truck...they are pretty cool....they skip a bit if you hit bumps but you get used to that.....
Nice buy my friend!!!! Now order some hydros and 14" Gold Daytons with white wall tires!

lol...... wtf is with those heater controls above that thing
thats an awesome car though, they were built tuff back then
haha they work and thats all that matters
I'm craving a Tim's coffee now.
Nice car btw, I'd rock it for sure.

Watching you parade around my bedroom in a thong was a little like watching sea lions mate.
damn, my beaters a 08 cobalt. I'm reversed, im looking for a older car for a new project lol
That is awesome!!!! Great condition. Used to see those big tanks around everywhere, but in the last few years they just disappeared. Big soft couch seats, rides like a cloud, handles like a shopping cart, but who doesn't have fond memories of those cars?
My favorite tank was my cousin's 84 diesel Buick LaSabre; now that was slow.
don't worry the 305 had no balls either....150 hp and 255tq for the 86 modle year........hell it would barely do 110 on the highway.
