hey guys im looking into buying a 08/09 montana, i want to use this van for deliveries etc. and want to know how reliable they are. they all come 3900 which i believe is a new engine(06). i do all my own maint., so access to the plugs, wires is good. this van will be out of warranty within a few years. is gm having any promos coming up? family pricing and all that. i have seached, and found little from 06 and up, it looks like they had issues in 05 there first year. there starting price here is 18,900 here.any help is appreciated im trying to move up from my 92 safari with 345,xxx on the clock. thanks

My dad uses on 08 Uplander for his business. He's had issues with traction control / ABS. Traction Control will come on for absolutely no reason, and cut the gas, basically stopping you from moving anywhere. When he brought it in under warrenty they told him it was common. The brakes squeal badly. Lots of power with the 3.9, but he gets terrible fuel mileage. For the most part though, it's been pretty good for the price.

our 06 uplander is the AWD versatrak with 3500 and it does great
