And it's a WRX not an STi. That's really not anything to brag about, you're comparing a car that's 224 HP to a car with almost 270, and it just barely edges it out. Ummm, Point Toyota? lol Sorry. C&D is still crap. Ooooh an Escalade is quicker than a Mini Cooper. Throw one lane change in there, or do a 0-60-0 test and most of those races would go the otherway around. Besides, to get quicker than 5.0-5.5 second 0-60 you're really going to have to start ponying up cash in stock form, this test really anything great.
Heh... with all that extra power these cars have, I sure hope so they are quicker, no matter what label they carry.

oh understood, and they even state all of those facts in the article. It's just showing that hp is up these days in almost EVERY car. And the fact if you owned a WRX, (awd turbo still, even though we all know its not an STi), but if you raced your mom in her camry, she'd win lol. It's just something to think, chuckle, and move on from...we all know the camry will NEVER be a cool car. Just a good laugh is all
I understand their comparisons, but I also argue price vs performance.
The Escalade vs. Mini and Camry vs. WRX are excellent examples where the few thousand in purchase price difference would swap the tables rather unfairly.
Also on the WRX thing, just save the extra cash for the STi, not having to replace transmissions every 20K miles makes up for it rather quickly.

^^ that's funny... my bugeye has 107k on the clock and is still on the original tranny.
if i raced a camry in my wrx i wouldn't lose... cuz I (just like most other wrx owners out there) am not stock.
besides, subaru didn't build the wrx or the sti for drag racing. they like corners and dirt.
