ROFL 20k ? Want a GT-S for 8 ?.
I am sorry, but anyone paying 20k for that needs to be shot. You can have them imported for much less. (Here in Canada)...

agreed... its cool and all, but there's newer, better cars that i'd spend 20k on before that.
Check out my build thread!

true but a lot of us dont live in canada, and by the time we get it shipped over here. licenced, glass changed out, legalized, all the emissions BS you would spend well over 20K. thats not a bad price at all for a legal one already in the US
I love the MB wheels...
That kills the car for me.
I just can't see spending $20k on a 14 year old car. Sure, its cool, "mad JDM yo!", and all that...... But its still 14 damn years old.

So you wouldn't buy a 30 year old 69' Camaro SS or even a 57' Chevy in mint condition with low miles because its "old?"
And, you have to overnight parts from Japan if you break some @!#$...

Yeah its plated in florida, BUT they dont have emmission laws. Getting it to pass anywhere else would be a PITA!

No...Because a 30 year old 69 Camaro SS sounds kinda fishy to me... 2008-1969=39 years old
Anyways..on topic..Sweet car..but yeah..I think personally I would spend my 20k differently..
#1: That car has been grandfathered in... R32's are NOT legal for import into the USA from Canada, the UK nor Japan.
#2: $20,000? Okay.. First, Ohlins suspensions run about $4000 Minimum, The Rims are about $600 a piece (for the real deal) so $2400, and the HKS exhaust is about what... say $600?
#3: IT HAS 23,000 MILES FER CRYIN OUT LOUD, the ones you'd import for $8K are running into 150,000kms or more and usually are grade 3-4 at best.
$20,000 may be a bit much, but for the vintage, exclusivity, and mileage... you have room to negotiate, and you'll get about $3-4000 off the price.

Rofl at that...
But as for getting an old mint Camero (69 SS would be sick), I would much rather source the parts, and restore it myself, then pay someone to take the car off of their hands. Its longer, takes more time/money/effort, but I would be more pleased with the results.
And this isn't anything to take away from a R32 Skyline. It is a great car, I just don't think I can justify the $20k on it.

I don't know.
That body style doesn't do anything for me. To me it looks like a 240sx coupe. For A LOT less you could just buy a 240 coupe and do an engine swap and turbos and be a lot faster. IMHO for that body style GT-R it's not worth it. I like the next gen one...what's that R34? or something. That body style is the best....this one? Over-hyped and over priced.

R-34 is 2 generations ahead of the R32
It's not a 240... but... AWD is nice
I'd import a Silvia or a 180SX (convert the front to a Sil-80 or S14 after ditching the CA18DET)... they're.. so.. hot...

We had a GT-S with the same exaust, and only 43 000km imported for 7500. Not a single dent, and still came with all the fancy Jap electronics such as their GPS
. (When I worked @ The Shop).

Are you in Canada? (if so, the GPS probably sucks ass, most of the ones I've seen had the stick-on base and were set for Japan only.) If you are, remember that Americans CANNOT import an R32: the only ones they CAN import are the R33's. Any R32/R34's that are in the country have had to get new VIN's and are grandfathered in, no new ones can be brought over to the USA until they're 25+ years old.
R32 GT-S's are not all that hard to get into the country, plus, the GT-S is RWD only.
